Ms. Aboelnaga Kanaan serves as Managing Partner of K6 Investments, a private investment firm she founded to invest in diverse industries including financial services, technology, and consumer products. K6 also advises companies as they expand into increasingly complex and interconnected global markets. With a holistic view of long-term investing powered by both organic and acquisitive growth, Mona draws on her experience as a CEO, entrepreneur, private equity investor and corporate board director for public and private companies.

Prior to launching K6, Ms. Aboelnaga Kanaan was President & CEO of Proctor Investment Managers, a company she co-founded in 2002 to buy equity stakes in traditional and alternative investment management firms. Under her leadership, Proctor went from a startup and early mover in GP Stakes investing to $14 billion in Affiliate Assets under Management. She sold the firm to National Bank of Canada in 2006 and continued as Proctor’s CEO until 2013.

Ms. Aboelnaga Kanaan is member of the Board of Directors of Sterling Bancorp (NYSE: STL), Perpetual Limited (ASX: PPT) and FinTech Acquisition Corp VI (NASDAQ: FTVI), and the Board of Advisors of C Street Advisory and Ibancar Spain. A strong advocate for Education, Ms. Kanaan is a Trustee of the Fashion Institute of Technology, The Chapin School and International House New York. Ms. Kanaan is Vice Chair of Wharton Club New York’s Equality Task Force and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Capital Campaign Council. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Ms. Kanaan Ms. Kanaan earned her BS from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her MBA from Columbia Business School.
